About Amy Roberts

Founder, CEO & Recovery Advocate

Some people choose recovery work as a career. Amy Roberts was called to it.

With over two decades of experience in addiction recovery, sober living, and personal advocacy, Amy Roberts has dedicated her life to helping teens, adults, and families find their way back to themselves. Her work is not just professional it is deeply personal. She understands the weight of addiction, the courage it takes to ask for help, and the long, layered process of truly rebuilding a life.

That understanding is what makes Amy different. And it is what has made Second Chance a trusted name for individuals and families who need more than a program they need a person.

A Legacy Built on Real Results

Amy is the Founder, CEO, and Former Owner of four highly regarded recovery institutions in Southern California.

Glendora Recovery Center was built on Amy’s belief that quality addiction treatment should be compassionate, individualized, and genuinely effective. Under her leadership, the center became a respected name in the recovery community, known for its client-centered approach and long-term outcomes.

Glendora Recovery Foundation was established to extend Amy’s commitment beyond clinical care advocating at the community level for individuals and families affected by addiction. As Founder and Board Member, Amy helped shape a non-profit mission rooted in access, dignity, and lasting recovery support.

TAJ Treatment Center was another expression of Amy’s dedication to building environments where real healing could take place. As Owner, she brought the same standards of individualized, compassionate care that defined her earlier work ensuring every client received the attention and treatment they truly deserved.

Brittany’s House Sober Living grew from Amy’s recognition that the transition out of treatment is one of the most vulnerable stages of recovery. She created a sober living environment that felt like a real home structured, safe, and surrounded by people who truly cared about each resident’s success.

These were not just businesses. They were lived commitments to a community that Amy served with her whole heart.

More Than a Professional A Trusted Advisors

Today, Amy serves as an Advisory Board Member at KASA Recovery in Los Angeles, where her years of hands-on leadership continue to shape how emerging recovery programs are built and guided.

Throughout her career, Amy has worked across every level of the recovery continuum from intervention and detox to sober living and long-term coaching. She has sat with clients at their lowest points and walked beside them as they stepped into lives they never thought possible.

Her approach is never transactional. She listens first. She meets each person where they are. She builds trust before she builds plans.

Why Amy Started Second Chance

Second Chance was born from a simple but powerful belief: that everyone, regardless of how many times they have stumbled, deserves a real opportunity to start over.

Amy created this service to offer something the traditional treatment world often cannot consistent, personal, one-on-one support that follows an individual into their real life. Not just inside a facility, but at home, at work, in relationships, and in the quiet moments when everything feels uncertain.

She serves teens and adults alike, understanding that the challenges of addiction look different at every age and that recovery must be approached with the same level of nuance.

Her Commitment to You

When you work with Amy, you are not assigned to a case manager or handed off to a staff member. You work with Amy directly. Her commitment to each client is personal, consistent, and grounded in years of real experience.

She believes that the people who come to her are not broken. They are brave. And she treats every single one of them that way.
